Higher Self: “You have to love everybody, that’s the Universe’s request.”
ME: “Do I? Cause right now I do not love everybody.”
Higher Self: “Do you want to question God?”
ME: “Sometimes, yes.”
Often, when thinking of universal love, I tend to worry about my own acceptance of others. I have to say my record isn’t stellar. Currently, the political environment under what I know to be violent and misdirected with this current Administration, I myself cannot get on board with those who would support this level of cruelty. Personally, I want nothing more than to reject the notion of loving those who choose to be cruel to others, for no apparent reason other than their own personal lack of self-reflection.
But am I disobeying what the Universe wants? Undoubtedly yes.
We are love, in a universal sense. That means the frequency of God, which runs through all of us, also travels through our earth and the cosmos. It’s one big grid as I picture it in my mind, and what we do, consciously or unconsciously, affects everything. It doesn’t sound practical to think universally as we are taught as Americans, that we are independent authors of our own story. If you look at it closely, we can only operate in environments built, not just by us, but by the collective fears and aspirations of other agendas. If that is true, as I believe it is, certainly my actions will infiltrate the journey of other souls.
Yet, we are still surrounded by people who do not, or cannot, or will not accept this premise that indeed we are connected through the thoughts and actions of others. This becomes the sore point for me… why would I do “unto you” what you are not willing to do for me?
Because love is what it takes to be liberated from our own agonies?
While this concept of loving “all” feels a lot like a mockery of justice, I remind myself that human justice isn’t the same as universal justice. Within a larger construct of a massive universe, it is necessary to love all others and things, which is the frequency of our Universe. In a smaller space, such as Earth, we can pick and choose what we love, as many of us do just that. Only if, and only if, you want to stay in a small universe, will you abide by this limited space, the desire to remain small, and identify your loves and hates. If you want to live in a broader, more expansive universe, you will need to consider that the law remains: to love everything and everyone is the only path to your own deliverance.
Why is love liberation?
Because we as humans share a collective experience. Why did our universe choose love as a path to freedom from suffering? Because love has been the only thing throughout history, throughout humanity, that has united people for the highest good. Hate has never accomplished this. The two are totally different frequencies, miles apart as proven by science and by religion. One mindset promotes cooperation, the other competition. One promotes expansion while the other leads to division.
I’ll be the first to admit that I can plot the most creative revenges on others, but it has never brought me peace. Not even once. Love has brought me peace, from time to time, and I am ready to admit that peace feels a lot more natural. When I love you, I get to see how you fit into my own aspirations and dreams… but when I hate you, I can only think of how you may hurt me, or better yet, how I can inflict pain upon you once you do. Hate is never going to allow me to know the part of God expressing itself through others. If I’m unable to see the source of your path, my own growth will be limited.
I do reject that
I can see each person or experience as a launch to further my understanding of my own capacity to love. Or I can write you off. If I write you off, I’ll never be able to understand what part of your experience makes my own worth examining.
Sending you love.
